Kitesurf Madagascar Club & School Babaomby Emerald Sea
Welcome to this huge natural bay protected by three paradise islands
Our kiteboarding club and school Kitesurf Madagascar faces the large protected lagoon of the Emerald Sea. Waves, freeride and freestyle lovers, will find a small corner of paradise where to ride away from the crowds.
Practice your favorite sport with confidence on a turquoise sea of about 36 km² with crystal clear and warm waters. The average depth of the lagoon is 3 meters and the bottom is mostly sandy. Along the coast the are a few coral heads and a bottom mixture of sand and rocky debris. Remember to bring your neoprene boots particularly useful for entering and exiting the water at low tide.

Northern Madagascar is breezed by the trade winds during the months of April to November. The wind blows constantly every day between 20 to 40 knots once the season begins. Kite sizes most used range from 5 to 9 meters during the peak season. Contact us a few days before your arrival to know the wind conditions on site. We will give you tips and information on the kite sizes to take with you.
The water temperature ranges from 25 to 28° C. We strongly advise to bring a neoprene wetsuit 2 to 3 mm thick. The days are sunny and the air temperature varies from 25 to 32° C. Bring a good sweater for cool evenings.
